These grants are just some of the various proposals that will be available this year.

Second call for postdoctoral grants

UAB announces its second call for postdoctoral grants in different departments and institutes, financed by Banco Santander. A total of thirteen (13) two-year grants are available at the following departments and institutes:

Beneficiaries
The following candidates can benefit from these grants:

· Holders of a PhD received after 1 July 1998 from a university other than the UAB.
· Holders of a PhD received from the UAB after 1 July 1998 can also benefit from these grants if they certify prior experience of a minimum of two years in a postdoctoral research position in other universities or research centres.

Period
The grants last a total of 2 years and cannot be renewed. Selected candidates will begin during the last four-month period 2008.

Amount per year
25,567 euro gross

Deadline
Applications and related documents must be submitted from 25 February to 25 March 2008.

Resolution
The resolution date as well as the dates on which the provisional and final lists will be published have been modified. The definite dates are the following:

- The resolution date for the research committee is 9 June 2008.
- The provisional list of selected candidates and provisional waiting list will be made public on 11 June 2008.
- All final lists will be published on 25 June 2008.
