Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona is internationally renowned for the quality and innovation of its research. As part of its efforts to consolidate scientific research, UAB is offering predoctoral and postdoctoral grants in different fields. These grants are just some of the various proposals that will be available this year.

3RD CALL
UAB departments will provide 91 new predoctoral research grants for staff in training. Research students will join an UAB official master's degree or UAB doctoral programme.

Requirements
·When the grants are awarded, those receiving a grant must hold a four-year degree (licenciatura), advanced engineering/architecture degree (ingeniería/arquitectura superior) or an equivalent degree from a foreign institution.

·When the grants are awarded, those receiving a grant must enrol in an UAB official master's degree or UAB doctorate.

Duration and amount of funding
These are four-year grants.

€11,832 gross per year during the first two years and €16,618 gross per year during the last two years.

Deadline
Applications must be submitted from 14 March to 18 April 2008.

Resolution
The resolution date as well as the dates on which the provisional and final lists will be published have been modified. The definite dates are the following:

- The research committee's resolution date is 9 June 2008.
- The provisional list of selected candidates and provisional waiting list will be made public on 11 June 2008.
- All final lists will be published on 2 July 2008.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

·Click on the Department in which you are interested in applying the grant and choose the line of research you would like to incorporate.
Complete the grant application form, providing the necessary documents in electronic format.

·All applicants may apply for more than one post, as long as each post belongs to a different profile. Should you apply for more than one post, you must specify the profile you are interested in, and state your order of preference. If you apply more than once for the same profile, only your last application will be taken into account.
